HOUSE GUEST SURVEY COMMENTS

2018

“Outstanding. I love the golf course, the location is special, the clubhouse is terrific, and the membership and the staff throughout are so welcoming and helpful. I will simply be coming back again and again.”

“The overall golfing experience for a handful of blokes was beyond comparison.”

“This was my 13th visit over nearly 25 years. It is one of my favourite golf destinations in the world. The staff are all so friendly, welcoming and genuine, it is a very significant part of the very positive recipe that makes up BHGC.”

“I genuinely cannot find fault every time I stay. Control the wind and you are really on to something.”

April 2018

“All wait staff were exceptional – so friendly. We were all impressed by the level of service of all staff. We have told so many people about this. Exceptional service. Thank you.”

“Best golf experience I have participated in. It will become our regular event. Thanks again.”

“I would like to express our heartfelt thanks to you and your team for yet another wonderful annual weekend spent at the hotel. Everyone in the group mentioned how exceptional the weekend was and what an amazing experience we all had. We truly appreciated all the attention to detail and service that was provided by such wonderful staff and gorgeous golf course that is such a pleasure to play.”

“Just wanted to say I really enjoyed my experience last Thursday night staying at Barwon Heads. There was a group of members and non-members and it we all enjoyed ourselves immensely. The food was delicious, the staff were fantastic and the club itself was in great shape – both inside and on the course! Very much looking forward to visiting again and making the most of the lovely facilities and location.”

“A very big thank you from the our group and I for making our golf day so special. The number of comments I received regarding the hospitality, golf course, accommodation, food and beverages was overwhelming.  The group of golfers can be tough to please at the best of times and for them to all have said how much they enjoyed the day was fantastic.”

In the January 2018 issue of the magazine, Barwon Heads Golf Club moves into the top 20 and is now ranked the 19th best course in the land. In terms of public access, however, Barwon Heads is rated by Golf Australia as the second best on the mainland at number 6. (See article below)

GOLF AUSTRALIA PUBLIC ACCESS COURSE RANKINGS

The Barwon Heads Golf Club has jumped up from 7th to 6th place in the Golf Australia Magazine 2017 Top 100 Public Access Courses. The improvement is significant as two new courses, Cape Wickham Links and Ocean Dunes, both in King Island, have debuted at 1st and 4th respectively.

The editors commented that Barwon Heads was “swimming against the flow here by moving up one spot when several in the top-10 have been forced down a few spots. Recently completed redesign work on the back nine by Neil Crafter and Paul Mogford has enhanced the overall experience of a round here.”

The Top 10:

1. Cape Wickham
2. Barnbougle Dunes
3. Barnbougle Lost Farm
4. Ocean Dunes
5. St. Andrews Beach
6. Barwon Heads
7. Links Kennedy Bay
8. Thirteenth Beach (Beach)
9. Bonville
10. Joondalup Resort
