Accommodation in the Clubhouse

The current situation at the Club due to COVID-19 is:

The Clubhouse has reopened to members under restricted operating conditions in accordance with the Last Step of the government's roadmap to recovery. Patron limits apply, seated service only and contact details are required for tracing purposes. In addition to the normal dress code, masks are required to be worn inside the Clubhouse (except while consuming food or beverages).

Members can view this post for more information.

The main course and the practice facilities are open.

Members' guests are permitted on most days but only after competition times on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays.

The course is also open to green fee players, but due to member demand tee times are limited and usually only available during off-peak times.

Green fee players and reciprocal club members can enquire about booking a round on the main course at a future date by clicking on this link.

Players must also conform to other government restrictions such as carrying a mask and maintaining social distance at all times.

The Par-3 course has re-opened to all, however, there can be no walk-ups.

Every player must be registered on the timesheet prior to play. Members can do this themselves, online or by calling the Pro Shop to make a booking. Non-members must book via the Pro Shop (5255 6255).

Players must also conform to other government restrictions such as carrying a mask and maintaining social distance at all times.

Juniors who are registered in the Club's Aces program will receive updates via email regarding future sessions.

Accommodation in the Clubhouse has reopened, subject to government regulations.

Golfers have been making use of the accommodation facilities within the iconic Barwon Heads Clubhouse since 1924.

Accommodation in the house is available for anyone*, but it’s fair to say the vast majority of our guests are golfers. There are 19 ensuite rooms available in single, twin or double bedding configuration and a variety of packages available that incorporate your stay with golf, conferences, dining and entertainment. Rooms are classified either ‘Standard’ or ‘Balcony’, the latter sharing access to a balcony that overlooks the course and the Barwon Coast.

Packages

A variety of accommodation options are available, from bed and breakfast to full board (including one round of golf, accommodation, cooked breakfast, lunch and three course a la carte dinner). We also offer special packages.

Golf and Tennis Facilities

One round of golf is included in your full board accommodation package. The Club has reserved tee times for house guests, (usually between 8.45 and 9.15am but subject to special events.) It is necessary that you contact the reservations team or the Pro Shop prior to your arrival to reserve a specific time for your included round of golf. Guests wishing to play more than one round of golf during their stay will be required to contact the Pro Shop eight days prior to day of play to check course availability and book a tee time. Charges for this second round will apply.

* Due to the weekly women’s competition on Tuesdays, tee times for house guests must be before 8.00am or from 1.00pm onwards.

In addition to our magnificent, nationally recognised course, the Club also has four mod grass tennis courts, a nine-hole Par-3 course and an extensive short game practice area.

Registration & Check-in

On most days the front desk is open between 8:00am and 5.00pm, on Sundays till 4.00pm, for guest registration. Guest rooms, however, are not available for check-in until 2.00pm. (You may store your luggage and use the change rooms if your tee time is prior to your room being available.) If you plan to arrive after 5.00pm, please contact the Club beforehand.

Check-out

Guests are required to vacate their rooms by 10.00am. If golf is planned on the final morning of your visit, please remove all items from the rooms prior to teeing off.

Payment

Guests are reminded that accounts are to be settled on departure. Accounts may be paid by MasterCard or Visa.

Re-booking

Many groups return annually and whenever possible are given first preference for re-booking the same days the following year. This must be done at the time of check-out.

Cancellations

Please note that cancellations made within 7 days prior to the arrival date will incur a charge of $50.00 per person per night. This will be charged to your credit card or member account. Please note: Guests who do not arrive, or cancel on day of arrival, will be charged full tariff.

*The Clubhouse is not equipped to accommodate infants and guests who wish to stay with children are asked to call before booking. You may decide the Clubhouse is not the most appropriate choice if you’re holidaying with children.
