Victorian Junior Open 2019 & 2020.

The 2019 Victorian Junior Open was played from the 16th to the 19th December at The Barwon Heads Golf Club and 13th Beach Golf Links.

A total of 177 boys and girls registered to play including juniors from South Korea, Malaysia, Vietnam, the Czech Republic and most Australian states and territories. The overall male and female winner have now earned entry into the ISPS Handa Vic Open in February 2020 with a share of $3M in prize money on offer.

Junior Vic Open 2019

After a late charge, Angus O’Brien, junior member of BHGC has placed third in the overall boys competition with rounds of 70, 72, 69 & 68. He won the overall boys nett competition.

In the end, Queenslanders Cassie Porter and Lincoln Morgan won playoffs to secure the respective girls and boys  titles at the Victorian Junior Open at 13th Beach.

In an exciting finish the girls played an extra hole to determine the winner, while the boys required five playoff holes.

The runner up for the girl’s title, Jeneath Wong, broke the Beach course record with a 63 in round three.

2020 Junior Vic Open

The 2020 Junior Vic Open will be played from Monday 21st September to Thursday 24th September. In 2020 the final day will be held at The Barwon Heads Golf Club.
