JUNIOR TENNIS CLINIC

The Club has invited Geelong tennis coach Andrew Cameron (TCAV) to conduct two clinics for children between six and 12 years of age at the time of the event.

There will be two clinics held between Monday 19 and Friday 23 January from 8:15am to 10:30am or 10:15am to 12:30pm. Children will only be able to be entered in one clinic. Please indicate your clinic preference below. Children will be allocated to the appropriate clinic on a first in basis.

The cost is $165 for the five days.

Entries open 1 November 2024 at 9.00am and are limited to the first 32 entries received per clinic. (Open to members’ children and grandchildren only.)

Junior Tennis Competitions - Conditions of Play*

Eligibility

Open to junior members, members’ children and members’ guests.
Entry is only permitted in the appropriate age group, based on the entrant’s age on the day of the tournament.

Venue and Attendance

Competitions will be held at The Barwon Heads Golf Club courts. Some matches may need to be transferred to the town courts in Geelong Road.
All players must be at the courts by 8.30 am.
Players not ready to play when called will forfeit their match.
No player may leave the court surrounds while competing.

Draw and Entries

All events will be drawn by the Tennis Sub-Committee.

Entries close at 4.00 pm on Wednesday, 31 December.

Dress Code

Club dress code applies. Only clothing designed for tennis may be worn.
Shoes with ripple soles or heels are prohibited.

Tournament Format

Knockout format: matches decided by one straight six-game set.
Finals: one six-game set with a tiebreaker at six all.
The Sub-Committee reserves the right to vary the length or style of matches if required.
Tournament progress will be reviewed at 11.00 am in the event of inclement weather.

Player Check-In

All players must report to the tournament desk upon arrival.

Photography Consent

By submitting this entry form, I give permission for my child’s photograph to be taken and possibly displayed with their name on the Club’s website, in Club publications and within the Clubhouse.
