How about a real summer holiday for a change?
To a place where parking hassles and crowds won’t make you even hotter under the collar.
A stay in the heritage listed Clubhouse could be just what you need.
The village and beaches of Barwon Heads get busy over summer, but the Clubhouse offers a peaceful respite and a location that’s walkable to most local attractions – including the beach. Take breakfast with a course view, then a book to the balcony with a sea view.
Play golf, tennis, billiards or bridge then while away the afternoon before dinner in the Clubhouse or at a local restaurant a short walk away in the village. No need to drive.
Now that sounds like a holiday.
There are many other things to do on the Bellarine. In addition to golf, the river, beaches, sunset drinks, bird-watching and nature walks, events around Barwon Heads this summer include the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race and Geelong Yacht Club’s Festival of Sails.
The Clubhouse is already fully booked for some dates so please enquire as soon as possible if you’re planning a break in Barwon Heads over summer.
But before you book (or you pass these details on to your friends) make sure you read the important terms and conditions below. As most members and previous house guests already know, the rooms aren’t apartment-style – in fact they’re relatively small by today’s standards. Also, the Clubhouse maintains a dress code that won’t be everyone’s idea of summer beach house attire! Oh, and it’s the busiest time of the year on the golf course and members get priority so tee times may be unavailable or extremely limited.
