BHGC Community Golf Day 2025

This much-loved event is a wonderful opportunity for non-member parents, locals and friends to play one of Australia’s best golf courses (at a significantly reduced rate), all while raising funds for the Barwon Heads Primary School.

A Great Round for a Great Cause
Play at a significantly reduced tariff while raising money for our local primary school. The generosity of Golf Day participants helps fund additional resources for students and strengthens the relationship between the Club, the school and local families.
Format Changes in 2025
Traditionally, the Community Golf Day features a shotgun start followed by a family gathering in the Clubhouse. However, as the Clubhouse remains closed for restoration until later in 2025, adjustments—similar to those made in 2024—will again apply.

Single tee start.

18-hole tee times on the main course from midday.

For those not up to 18, nine-hole tee times on the main course from 2.00pm.

Complimentary Par-3 golf for Barwon Heads Primary School families from 3.00pm.

After-golf refreshments for participants will be available from the ‘Golfers’ Marquee’, adjacent to the driving range.

18 holes: $85pp (normally $250)

9 holes: $60pp

All green fees go directly to the Barwon Heads Primary School

Bookings open: 3.00pm, Friday 4 July.
Call in or phone the golf shop on 5255 6255. Tee times will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
Before Golf

Prepayment is required.

Practice facilities are available for players on the timesheet.

Takeaway food and drinks are available from the golf shop and marquee.

Dress code applies: collared shirts, white socks (for men in shorts), no denim, cargo shorts, beachwear or thongs.

Alcohol on course is strictly prohibited, especially during school-linked events.
Tee Time Format
-
18 holes: Groups of four, 9-minute intervals (maximum 56 players)
-
9 holes: Front nine, groups of four, 9-minute intervals from 2.00pm (maximum 44 players)

No shotgun starts will be held during the Clubhouse closure due to the marquee’s capacity limits.
This is a social golf day with no formal competition, though participants may organise their own friendly contests.
Club hire, electric buggies and carts are available from the golf shop, along with fitting, coaching and apparel for keen golfers.
Par-3 Golf
Barwon Heads Primary School families are invited to enjoy complimentary Par-3 golf from 3.00pm. Pre-booking is required—please call the golf shop to ensure your name is on the timesheet. (5255 6255). Children under 12 must be supervised by a parent. If planned well, your round can finish in time to meet others in the marquee.
After Golf
Barring extreme weather that may require closure of the marquee, all participants are welcome to gather afterwards for refreshments and to reflect on a great day.
