BHGC Community Golf Day – Sunday 1st August 2021

Published on 24th July 2021 in Guest Only

This is always a fun day and a great opportunity for non-member locals to play the course and enjoy the atmosphere of the Clubhouse afterwards.

Update: (Tuesday 27th July).

The Club is very grateful for the efforts made by the Barwon Heads Primary School, its staff, students (and their parents) to keep the community safe. It is through their efforts, and those of other Victorians over the past two weeks, that have resulted in restrictions easing today and the ability for the Community Golf Day to proceed this Sunday, albeit with some changes.

Golf, the important fundraising component, will still be able to take place as planned. We hope those booked on the timesheet can attend.

Unfortunately, the Clubhouse get-together afterwards will not be able to proceed due to limitations on the number of patrons permitted inside the Clubhouse. It will be a golf event rather than a community social event, with participants encouraged to pre-pay, check-in, go directly to their tee, enjoy their round and depart immediately afterwards – all while observing other government regulations such as mask wearing and socially distancing.

Golfers registered on the timesheet will receive a call from the Pro Shop staff to confirm their booking and to pre-pay. It is important as many players pre-pay as possible for health and safety reasons – and the fact the Pro Shop can only have ten people inside at a time.

Participants (or organisers) who have confirmed and paid will receive an email with further instructions prior to Sunday.

As golf on the main course is almost fully booked, we ask that anyone registered on the timesheet who needs to cancel to do so ASAP so those waitlisted can obtain a booking. To cancel, please contact the Pro Shop via email at
