Staying Connected Throughout Your Golf Swing
Staying connected is so important to create consistency and
repetition with your golf swing. So, what does staying connected really mean, it is
essentially about keeping your arms, body and club moving together and in sync
during your swing rather than acting independently.
When you lose that connection for example it can stop body
rotation, this allows the arms to take over and this causes inconsistent
contact and unpredictable results.
Focus on staying connected throughout your golf swing
keeping everything working together in unison which will give you more rhythm
and flow with better results.
The Towel Drill
Take a small towel and place it across your chest and tuck
both ends under your arm pits then do a practice swing. If the towel drops, this means your arms aren’t moving together as they should. The goal is to keep
the towel in place throughout your swing.
Always start with half swings, then three quarter, then full
swings at 70 percent pace! This drill is perfect for chipping, pitching and full swings. Remember, don’t let the towel drop!
