A NEW CHAPTER FOR A LONG-RUNNING FRIDAY TRADITION

Those familiar with the long-standing “Dad’s Army” lunches will know they have always been filled with good humour and warm company. As this gathering evolves into the Seniors Friday Lunch, the spirit remains the same — friendly conversation, shared stories and plenty of laughs, just without the old TV-inspired label.

Senior members are invited to continue the tradition every Friday from 12.30 pm. To assist with catering, please book via the Event Registration Bookings area on the website or at the front desk.

Tuesday 2 December 2025

Wrap up the golf year with a celebratory lunch. The third and final round of the Trilogy Cup for women will begin with a shotgun start at 8.15am and follow with lunch in the Clubhouse afterwards.

VOLUNTEERS FOR JUNIOR GOLF WEEK 2026

Please register your preferred times and dates now.

Not only is volunteering a rewarding experience, Junior Golf Week, the Summer of Tennis and many other events at the Club are only made possible thanks to the volunteer members who help run them.

Once again, we are asking volunteers to place their names directly onto the actual timesheet(s).

A reminder that in line with the Club's Child Safety Policyall members performing volunteer activities around children require a current Working With Children Check. These are free and easy to apply for.

Registrations are open.

Clinics held Monday 19 - Friday 23 January 2026

Bookings for the popular junior clinics and individual events for children and adults are open.

DINING

A gentle reminder for those dining in the Clubhouse: your reservation time is the time you are expected to be seated for dinner. If you would like to enjoy a drink in the Members Lounge beforehand — a lovely way to begin the evening — please plan to arrive a little earlier and encourage your guests to do the same.

Being seated at the reserved time helps the hospitality team maintain a smooth flow of service and ensures the best possible dining experience for everyone.

Please book ahead to avoid disappointment.

BILLIARDS, SNOOKER & PIN POOL

The Billiard Room has been a lively spot since the Clubhouse reopened, with many members enjoying the beautifully restored space and the ‘new’ Wettenhall table pictured above. Honour board events in all three 'codes' — billiards, snooker and pin pool — are now well underway in their respective knockout formats, and players are encouraged to complete their matches by the required dates to keep each draw progressing smoothly.

To help everyone enjoy the room, please remember to reserve your table through the booking system and cancel if your plans change. Members are also asked to wash their hands before play to protect the cloth and equipment.

A reminder that any member or guest under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult member when using the Billiard Room.

FAMILY GOLF:

IAN WALL father & son JOINED BY REINSTATED parent & child TROPHY

Played on Sunday 16 November

This family golf day was met with enthusiasm, with the field reaching capacity well before the event. Combining the long-running Ian Wall Father & Son Trophy with the reinstated Parent & Child Trophy proved to be a winning formula, creating a wonderful day of family golf and friendly competition.

Above left to right: Sprague Cup finalists Andrew Rogers, Peter Petricola, Kane Wallace and Chris Nunn.

A MATCH WITH SPECIAL SIGNIFICANCE

Seventy-nine years after the trophy was first presented, congratulations are extended to Kane Wallace and Chris Nunn, winners of the 2025 Sprague Cup, defeating Peter Petricola and Andrew Rogers 5 & 4.

For Peter and Andrew, the day carried a meaning far deeper than the final score.

It was during a Sprague Cup match in July 2024 when former Club Captain Andrew Rogers collapsed on the 14th hole with a sudden cardiac arrest.
