A reminder that mask wearing, though not mandatory in most indoor settings, is strongly recommended by the Victorian Department of Health.
Friday Night Drinks

Put some colour into your week and meet friends for drinks and nibbles in the Members' Lounge this Friday 29th July from 6:00pm. No need to book for drinks, but please reserve a table for dinner if you're considering staying late.
Club FOursomes Championship
GC Adams & HF Tucker Foursomes
Entries are open for the men's Club Foursomes Championship (GC Adams & HF Tucker Foursomes).
The qualifying round will be played on Sunday 21st August 2022.
There is the scratch (G.C Adams Scratch Trophy, with sudden death playoff for final qualifying position) and nett (H.F. Tucker Handicap Trophy, with countback for final qualifying position) with both events available to all pairs. The best four pairs in each event qualify for match play finals. These two events are played in conjunction with each other and pairs can qualify for both events.
Entries are open for the 2022 Composite Course event which is held over 18 holes on both the Barwon Heads and 13th Beach courses on Friday 29th July. This year the event will start and finish at Barwon Heads. See the holes to be played and enter via the link below.
This Wednesday, Anton has chosen a fabulous local Pinot Noir to offer by-the-glass to pair with Dan's red wine braised duck & mushroom risotto.A few seats are still available - call 52556255 to book.
Next month the last in this series of winter Wednesdays will be held on 24th August and will feature one of chef Jules' specialty curries, the inspiration for which will come from his time when he ran his own restaurant in Singapore. Once again, the main course special will be $25.
Please make your dinner bookings (from 6.00pm) by calling 5255 6255. A vegetarian option will be available (but other dietary requirements may not be possible).
First Friday Dinner & Bridge

Dinner consists of a single course with a glass of wine at 6.30 pm. If you are only playing bridge, please advise the office and arrive at 7.15 pm for 7.30 pm start. Any questions, please ring Sherryl Nelson – 0432 203 098
The Club's junior Aces program will run again on Sunday 7th August. Please book via the Pro Shop. We'll send a reminder to those on the junior database during the week prior to the session.
The Community Golf Day will be played the same afternoon and is currently waitlisted.
Brush & Bubbles - Spring Edition
Thursday 1st September
The arrival of spring will be welcomed with floral artistry when Geelong's Brush & Bubbles return to host a second art class themed 'flowers'. The price includes paint equipment, aprons, instructor, nibbles & a glass of bubbles on arrival. Links Room 6.30pm-9.00pm - $75pp. Come along for a fun evening and watch your artistic talents bloom.
This promises to be unique and different to any other trivia night that you have attended. It is all about entertainment, fun and more fun, hosted by a professional trivia night specialist.
Appoint yourself or another member as captain and book a table with the names of ten members or guests. $30pp includes a simple dinner (porterhouse and vegetables) and trivia. Please advise dietary requirements at the time of booking.
6:00pm arrival, 6:30pm dinner and at 7:00pm trivia begins.
Each table will be allocated a colour to dress up in. There are 12 tables of 10 available with a prize awarded to the winning table.

Nick Place was as entertaining in person as his co-authored book when he presented to members in the Links Room last Saturday. Thanks to all the members who came along to support the event; we hope you enjoyed the Georgian wine tasting.
