golf course closURE
As a result of advice that has been obtained this evening, the Committee has made the decision to close the golf course, par 3 course, driving range and practice facilities effective immediately. These facilities are now closed until further notice.
Golf Australia has advised: "It is Golf Australia's recommendation that, based on the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services directive issued as part of the Victorian Government's Stage 2 restrictions regarding COVID-19, all golf clubs and facilities should close as soon as practicable until further notice."
The Committee fully supports this recommendation and takes the wellbeing of our members, staff and professionals, plus our responsibility to the Barwon Heads community extremely seriously.
I would like to thank the Committee for their wonderful support and guidance throughout this period. I would also like to thank the management, staff and professionals who have worked tirelessly through what has been a rapidly changing environment.
This has been a testing time for all of us, but as a Club, I am certain that we will navigate through these difficult waters and once again enjoy the camaraderie of fellow members on our beautiful course and in our welcoming clubhouse.
