Tony's tie night

The last Friday of the month is this Friday 28th June. Come and enjoy a drink and a nibble from 5.30pm in the Members' Lounge.

Limited-time $20 Dinner  specials

BHGC chef, Julian is considered by others in the kitchen brigade as something of a gnocchi master.  (Geoffrey thinks he's no slouch with the potatoes either.)

Put their expertise to the test this Thursday 27th, Friday 28th and Saturday the 29th June when a house-made gnocchi dish (along with a chicken curry) will be listed as limited-time $20 dinner specials.

BEST KEPT SECRETS to be REVEALED AT ANNUAL WINE DINNER

Join winemaker Justin Purser from Best's Great Western as he takes you through a selection of their finest wines, accompanied by a delicious meal designed to complement them.

A highlight will be tasting Best's Bin 0 Shiraz, an undisputed icon of Great Western Shiraz containing fruit from the 1868 Thomson Family Block. This wine is internationally acclaimed as one of Australia's finest Shiraz wines, listed in Langton's 'Outstanding' category and rated 95 points in James Halliday's 2019 Wine Companion.

Wednesday Golfers' cup

Member, Ian Cover, of the Coodabeen Champions will interview special guest, Course Supertendent Adam Lamb, at this year's Wednesday Golfers' Cup dinner to be held on Wednesday 31st July. Expect a very entertaining evening...

THANK YOU

Member, Simon Holloway, gave an inspiring talk to nearly 100 members and guests on Saturday 15th June about his experience completing the gruelling Marathon Des Sables - a 230km event over 7 days across the Sahara Desert in Morocco.

Competitors must carry all of their supplies for the event in backpacks weighing between 6.5kgs and 15kgs. Some of the topics discussed included blisters, poisonous snakes and scorpions, taking 200 salt tablets in 7 days, running up and down sand dunes and the camaraderie that developed among the participants.
