Course and Match

Praise for the course continues

In October 'Golf Digest'  wrote "At its core, Barwon Heads is golf nirvana" and the praise hasn't ceased. In early December 'The Golf Course Guide' which claims to be Australia's #1 golf course directory moved Barwon Heads from number 8 to number 7 in their annual top 100 ranking. Then in the January 2019 issue of Golf Australia magazine the course moved from number 6 to number 5. In this ranking Barwon Heads is the highest rated public access course on mainland Australia.

But ask Adam Lamb, Course Superintendent, and he will tell you the the best compliment, in regards to the course, that he has had the pleasure of reading came recently from esteemed international course architect, Tom Doak. His recently released 'Confidential Guide - Vol.5' moved Barwon Heads up from 5/10 on his last visit to 7/10. This may not sound as impressive as 'the best on the mainland' but read this Member news post to learn more.
