Barwon Heads has retained its ranking as the number one<\/strong> public access course on mainland Australia in 31st edition of The Golf Course Guide. The course has moved up a step to be listed at number four overall, behind three Tasmanian courses.<\/p>\n

  2. Cape Wickham<\/li>\n
  3. Barnbougle Lost Farm<\/li>\n
  4. Barwon Heads<\/li>\n
  5. Ocean Dunes<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Courses ranked in the edition must be available for green fee play most of the year and includes public courses, resort courses and many private clubs which offer access to green fee players. Some clubs, such as Barwon Heads, may require an overnight stay in their accommodation in order to access the course at peak times.<\/p>\n

    The editors of the publication, recognise the subjective nature of rankings; theirs are weighted 40% on course design, 40% on course conditions and 20% on course aesthetics. This is the 31st annual edition of the Golf Course Guide<\/a>.<\/p>\n

    For a guaranteed tee time on weekends, public holidays, in summer or during other peak periods, guests staying overnight in the Clubhouse enjoy priority access to prime-time tee times on most days of the year.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
